Margaret Moore of Cropwell Butler 1651 Will

In the name of God Amen I Margaret Moore of Cropwell Butler in the County of Nottingham widow being of right memory and understanding though sick in body doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme following

First I give and bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God my Maker and Redeemer hopeing of Salvation in the merritts of Jesus Christ And for my outward grate and goods I thus dispose of them

Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my sonne Michaell Garton one hundred threescore and eight poundes to be paid unto him within twelve monthes after he shall accomplish the age of one and twenty yeares

Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne George Moore one hundred threescrore and eight poundes to be paid unto him within the space of three monthes after he shall accomplish the terme of one and twenty years

Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Margarett Moore the summe of fowerscore and fower poundes to be paid unto her within the space of three monthes after she shall accomplish the terme of one and twenty yeares of age

Item I give and bequeathe unto my sonne in law George Morley twelve pence and to his children every one of them twenty shillings

Item I give unto my daughter Dorothy Fillinghams Child twenty shillings

Item I give unto the Children of my brother Richard Howe forty shillings

Item I give to the poore of the parish of Tythbey twenty shillings

The rest of my goods and chattells ungiven I give unto my sonne John Garton whom I make and ordaine sole executor of this my last will and testament

Item for my sonne George Moore and my daughter Margarett Moore it is my will that they do abide with the executor till they accompish the age of one and twenty yeares untill their portions be due

In wittnes whereof I have hereunto sett my hand the three and twentieth day of June Anno Dni 1650

This will was proved at London before Sir Nathaniel Brent Knight Doctor of Law Master or Keeper of the Prerogative Court the eighth day of September in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred fifty one by the oath of John Garton executor named in the said will to whom was committed Administration of all and singular the goods chattells and debts of the said deceased he being first sworne by Comission well and truly to administer the same
