In the name of God Amen the 17 day of April 1699 according to the computation of the Church of England I John Moore of Stathern in the County of Leicester Shoemaker being of perfect memory & remembrance praised be God therefore doe make & ordain this my last will & Testament in manner & forme following

First I bequeath my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping that through the meritorious Death & passion of Jesus Christ my onely saviour & Redeemer to receive free pardon & forgiveness of all my sins, & as for my body I have it to be buried in Christian burial at the discretion of my Executrix Hereafter named

Imprimis I give to my three daughters Sarah, Alice, & Jane the Sume of Sixty pounds, that is to say to every one of them Twenty pounds at the day of their marriage or when they shall come to the age of one & twenty years

Item I order my house and land in Stathern aforesaid to be sold by my Executrix for the payment of my debts & portions of my aforesaid Daughters, my son John Moore being provided for in the Settlement of my house & lands in Holwell in Leicestershire which was made upon my marriage with my present wife Frances Moore

Item all the rest of my Houses, Lands, Goods & chattells whatsoever I give & bequeath to my dear wife Frances Moore & her Heires for ever upon condition that she shall pay all my debts & legacys & doe hereby make her sole Executrix of this my last Will & Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the day & year first above written
