John Moore of Long Clawson 1677 Will and Inventory

In the name of god Amen I John More of Clauson als Clawson in the County of Leicester yeoman being sick of body but of good & perfect memory praised be god doe ordaine and make this to be my last will & Testament in maner and forme following
Imprimis I give and bequeath my soule to Allmighty God that gave it and my body to be buried in the parish Church or Church yard of Claxton aforesaid at the discretion of my executrix
Item I doe give and bequeath unto my sons Edward More John More and William More to each of them twelve pence for there portions of my goods
Item I give to all and every one of my granchildren halfe a Crowne to each of them
Item I doe give unto my daughter Elizabeth Constable Twelve pence for hir portion of my goods
Item I give & bequeath my house with all and every of the appurtenances and three oxgangs of land with there appurtenances lying & being in the west end of Clawson unto my loveing wife unto the Annuntiation of our blessed lady Mary which shall be in the yeare of our Lord one Thousand Six Hundred & eighty
Item I doe give & bequeath my said house with all the appurtenances in the tenure & occupation of Roger Wells and the aforesaid three oxgangs of land with all the appurtenances and in the tenure and occupation of Henry Heb & lying & being in the west end of Clawson aforesaid unto my son Henry More & his heires for ever upon Condicon that he pay unto my Son Thomas More one Hundred pounds in & upon the feast of St Michael the Archangell in the yeare of our lord Christ one Thousand six hundred & eighty and five pounds a yeare unto my wife dureing hir naturall life at the feast of St Michael the Archangell & the feast of our blessed Lady Mary the Virgin by eaven and equal portions and for the true payment of the said summ of one hundred pounds doe oblige my house & land abovesaid that it shall & may be lawful for my son Thomas More to enter upon my house & three oxgangs of Land aforesaid & the same hold & enjoy till payment be made of the said hundred pounds
Item I give & bequeath unto my loveing wife my three Closes lying Hollwell Leicester untill my son James More accomplish the age of one & Twenty yeares that is to say Landick Close the long Close and Lowneing Close and then I give & bequeath my three Closes aforesaid that is to say Landick Close the long Close & Lowneing Close aforesaid unto my son James More and his heirs for ever upon Condicon that he pay unto my daughter Mary More fifty pounds when shee shall accomplish the age of eighteene yeares and my mind & will is that if the fifty pounds be not paid that it shall & may be lawfull for my said daughter Mary More to enter upon the three Closes aforesaid & them Hold till payment be made of the said fifty pounds
I give & bequeath unto my son Thomas More one Hundred pounds to be at the feast of St Michael the archangel in the yeare of our lord Christ one Thousand six Hundred & eighty
Item I give unto my daughter Mary More one Hundred & fifty pounds to be paid hir when shee shall accomplish the age of Eighteene yeares
Item I give to the pore of Clawson Twenty shillings
I give to the pore of Howell Ten shillings
All the rest of my goods Cattell & Chattells I doe give to my loveinge wife whome I doe make Sole Executrix of this my last will & Testament
In wittnesse whereof I have set to my hand & sealed the day & yeare first above written
