Thomas Mason of Eastwell 1775 Will

In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Mason of Eastwell in the County of Leicester Grazier being in perfect health And of sound mind memory and understanding but Considering the Uncertainty of this life Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to Say)

First of all I give my Soul to Almighty God who gave it me And my Body I Commit to the Earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named

And as to for and concerning my Worldly Estate which hath pleased God to bless me with I give and dispose thereof follows

In the first place I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Ann Mason the Sum of One Hundred and fifty pounds of good and lawfull Money of Great Britain to be paid her within Twelve Months next after my decease by my Executor herein after named

And Also I give and bequeath unto my Said Daughter Anne Mason All these my Household Goods following (that is to Say) one Bed Bedding and Furniture thereof now Standing and being in my Parlour, one pair of my best flaxen Sheets, All my Table Linnen which is now ready to be made up on Table Cloths and Napkins, and which hath been so made up and prepared by the labour care and Industry of my Said Daughter Anne Mason, And one pair of Chest of Drawers now standing and being in my best Chamber All Which said Household Goods I order and direct shall and may be delivered to her my Said Daughter Anne Mason imediately after my decease by my Said Executor

And Lastly All the rest residue and remainder of all my Household Goods other Goods Stock Cattle Chattells Implements of Husbandry rights Credits and personal Estate of what kind nature or quality soever (My Debts Legacies and Funeral Expences being first paid and discharged) I give and bequeath unto my Son William Mason to and for his own use benefit and disposal, whom I do hereby Appoint full and Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament Revoking all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made

In Witness whereof I the Said Thomas Mason the Testator have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this Twenty fifth day of June in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy one

Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the Said Thomas Mason the Testator to be his last Will and Testament In the presence of us the Witnesses Under Written who have at his request and in his presence And in the presence of Each other set our Names as Witnesses to the due Execution of this his Said Will
