Alice Marshall of Ab Kettleby 1683 Will and Inventory

In the name of god Amen I Alice Marshall of Abkettelby in the County of Leicester Widdow doe ordaine this to be my last Will & Testament revockeing all former Wills whatsoe ever

Imprimis I bequeath my soule to Allmighty God whoe gave it mee trusting to be saved by the alone merits of Jesus Christ & my body to be buried in the Churchyeard of Orston att the disscreition of my executor & for my Temporall estate in manner & forme as followeth

Item I give to the poore of Orston Tenn shillings

It I give & bequeath to Henry Clator & his heires the House & fould yeard which I bought of John Mantle of Stathorne which is now in the Occupacion of Willm Storey of Orston in the County of Nottingham

It I give & bequeath to Robert Blanckley of Ab Kettelby in the County of Leicester yeoman his heires or assigns One Crost or Closse with the fourert parte of an Oxgange of Land lyeinge in the towe & feilds of Orston with middow & Passtures & Commons with all & everie of the appurtenances thereunto belonging which I bought of John Mantle of Stathorne desireing the aforesaid Robert Blanckley or his assigns to macke sale of the aforesaid Crost or Closse & the aforesaide Land with the appurtenances paying out of the price of it three pounds to Catherine the Wife of Hughe Maultby & Twoe pounds to Will Clator & the rest of the price to be equally devided in to three parts One part to the Children of Ann the Wife of Robert Blanckley a other part to the Children of Will Cator [sic] of Orston a other part to the Children of Mary the Wife of Thomas Wittle of Plunger that is to the fower yongest & the oldest to have a shilling

It the Land with the appurtenance & premises that I was heire to of my father William Bugge as followeth

It I give to John Clator the Sonne of Willm Clator & his heires for ever the fowert part of one meassuage & the fowert part of One Closse his father to be Gardiner till hee come to age of one & twentie yeares

It I give & bequeath my parte of Land with the appurtenances to be equally devided in to three parts which I was borne heire to that is to say one parte to Anne the Wife of Robert Blanckley of Abkettelby & hir heires for ever

It I give a other part to Mary the Wife of Thomas Wittle of Plunger & hir heires for ever

& the other parte to William Clator of Orston & his heires for ever

It I give to Anne Blanckley the daughter of Robert Blanckley a flaxen Table Cloth & Ten napkins

It I give to Mary Blanckley the daughter of Robert Blanckley a brode brinked pan a brasse morter a white apron

It I give to Elizebeth Blanckley the daughter of Robert Blanckley my best bed & my best Curtains & my feather bed & a boulster & two pillow & a paire of Hempin sheets a Red blanket a Coverlide of red & greene a stile & a warming pan & a wheele & my hates more or lesse & my suite of wolling Closse

It I give to Jane Blanckley the daughter of Robert Blanckley my best Joyned Chest my little basket & wanded Cheire & all my hudes more or lesse

I give to Ruth Blanckley the daughter of Robert Blanckley my litle Table & twoe stooles a brasse potte & a puter bassone a puter Chamber potte a puter pinte & a halfe pinte & all the yrons belonginge to the fire

I give to Hugget Wittle a puter dishe to William Wittle a puter dishe

I give to Tho Whittle my beter Cubberd my bigest faggon & a noble to bye him a bible

I give to John Wittle my a joyned Chist and a noble to bye him a bible

To Elizabeth Wittle my brass skinner

I give to John Clator a bed a mattrisse a bousster twoe pillows a paire of Hempen sheets & a flaxen sheete a yellow blanket a Coverlid of greene & yellow

I give to Huggett Clator my Oacke boxe & I give to Willm Clator the sonne of Will Clator a puter dishe

I give to Elzebeth Clator a puter dishe

I give to Henry Clator a Cubbard that was my mothers & a faxen sheete

I give to Kathere Maultby a paire of my best flaxen sheets twoe pillow baires a sett of green Curtans

I give to Hughe Maultby the sonne of Hughe Maultby a Joynd Chaire & a ashe Chaire & little Table & a trundle bed

I give to Ann Blanckley the wife of Robert Blanckley a paire flaxen sheete & a paire of pillow barrows

I give to my mothers House a long Table & Tow formes for … …

It I give to Ruth Blanckley a bible & practice of Pietie

All the rest of my Housell goods I give to Anne Blanckley & Mary Wittle

For my apparell I leave it to my Sister Blanckley for to dispose onn according to my Order

I give to Robert Blanckley my pumpe payeinge to Will Clator a noble & Mary Wittle a noble

When all my depts is payd & funerall Charges & my will proved by my executor Then I desire my parsonall essate & my Laday day rents which is due to be devid into three part by my executor one part to Anne the Wife of Robt Blanckley a other part to Mary Wittle the other part to Will Clator

Robert Blanckley of Ab Kettelby I doe here macke my full executor of this my last will & testament & doe give him five shillings to bye him a paire of gloufes
