George Marriott of Hickling 1714 Will, Inventory and Bond

In the name of God amen I George Marriott of Hickling in the County of Nottingham shepherd being weake in Body but of perfect minde and memorie praised be to almighty God for the same doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament hereby renownceing all other wills and testaments

Imprimis I give and bequeath my soul to almighty God my Creatour trusting and confidently expecting to be saved by the alone merits and bitter passion of Jesus Christ my redeemer and my Body to the earth from whom it was taken and for the disposal of all my worldly goods which God of his great mercy have bestowed upon me I give and devise them a s followeth

Item I give unto my daughter Anne Marriott ten pounds of Brittish money when she come to the age of five and twenty yeares of age

Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Marriot ten pounds of Brittish money when she cometh to the age of five and twenty years of ag

Item I give to my daughter Sarah the some of ten pounds of Brittish money when she shall attaine the age of five and twenty yeares of ag

Item I give unto my son William Marriott the some of ten pounds of Brittish money to be paid to him when he shall attaine the age of five and twenty yeares of age

Item my will is that my son George Marriot my eldest son be executor with my wife Anne Marriott they both joined together to pay all portions before named that is ten pounds to every one of them when it becomes due not stopping any thing of their portions for their bring up

Item my will is that my wife Anne Marriott and my eldest son George Marriot be sole Executors of all my goods cattells and chattels they paying all debts and funeral charge whatsoever my wife keeping her married

Item my will is that Brother John Hopkinson and Paul Hardy be trustees of this my will and testament be performed as it is before nominated in my will
