February 16^th 1768

In the Name of God Amen I Henry Mantle of Hose in the County of Leicester Farmer Being very Sick and Weak in Body But in perfect Mind and Memory Thanks be to God But Calling unto Mind the Mortality of my Body and Knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to die do Make and ordain this my Last Will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and Recommend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God that Gave it and my Body I Recommend to the Earth to be Buried in a decent Christian Burial at the Descretion of my Executors Nothing Doubting but at the Genaral Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the Mighty power of God and as touching such Worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to Bless mee in this Life I give demise and Dispose of the same in the following manner and Form

I Give to my Wellbeloved Daughter Frances Smith the sum of twenty Shillings to be paid by my Executors Hereafter Named twelve Months after my Decease

I Give to my Wellbeloved Daughter Elizabeth Knowls the sum of twenty Shillings to be paid by my Executors Hereafter Named twelve Months after my Decease

I Give to my Wellbeloved Son Joseph Mantle the sum of five pounds to be paid by my Executors Hereafter Named twelve Months after my Decease

I Give to my Wellbeloved Son George Mantle the sum of five pounds to be paid by my Executors Hereafter Named twelve Months after my Decease

I Give to my Wellbeloved Son Samuel Mantle the sum of twenty Pounds to be paid by my Executors Hereafter named twelve Months after my Decease

I Give to my Wellbeloved Son Henry Mantle Whom I Constitute Make and Ordain my Sole Executris of this my Last Will and Testament all and Singular my Lands Messuages and tenements Goods Cattle and Chattels by Him freely to be Enjoyd and I do Hereby utterly revoke Disanul all Former Wills and Testaments Ratifying and Confirming this and no other to Be my Last Will and Testament
