This is the last Will and Testament of me William Mann of Plungar in the County of Leicester Farmer

I direct that my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses shall be paid by my Executors hereinafter named as soon as conveniently may be after my decease

I Give and Bequeath unto my Friends George Wells of Plungar aforesaid Farmer and Thomas Newcome of Barkstone In the said County of Leicester Miller their executors administrators and assigns All my personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever Upon Trust to permit and suffer my dear Wife Mary to have the use and enjoyment and receive the Interest and profits arising therefrom for and during the term of her natural life And from and immediately after her decease Upon Trust to divide the same equally between my three Daughters Mary Ann Elizabeth and Frances their executors administrators and assigns as Tenants in Common to be vested Interests in them at the Age of Twenty one years

I Give and devise my real Estate consisting of a Close of Grazing Land containing twelve acres more or less in the Parish of Whatton in the County of Nottingham unto the said George Wells and Thomas Newcome their heirs and assigns Upon Trust to permit and suffer my said wife to receive the rents and profits thereof during the term of her natural life And from and after her decease Upon Trust that they the said George Wells and Thomas Newcome and the Survivor of them his heirs and assigns shall sell and dispose of the same And divide the Money arising therefrom between my said Daughters their executors administrators and assigns as Tenants in common to be vested Interests in them at the age of twenty one years Provided always and I hereby declare that the receipt of the said George Wells and Thomas Newcome and the Survivor of them his heirs or assigns shall be a good discharge for all Monies which in such receipt shall be expressed to be received And that all persons paying any Monies to the said George Wells and Thomas Newcome and the Survivor of them his heirs or assigns and taking a receipt from him or them accordingly shall not be obliged to see to the further application of the said Monies nor be accountable for the misapplication thereof Provided also and my Will is that my said Trustees shall have power to sell my said Close at Whatton aforesaid during the life time of my said Wife if she shall think fit And the money arising from such Sale such be placed out by my said Trustees at Interest And they shall stand possessed thereof Upon the Trusts hereinbefore declared concerning my personal Estate

I devise all Mortgage and Trust Estates which may be now vested in me unto the said George Wells and Thomas Newcome their heirs executors administrators and assigns subject to and upon the Equities and Trusts affecting the same

And Lastly I appoint the said George Wells and Thomas Newcome joint executors of this my Will and hereby revoke all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twenty second day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight

Thomas Newcome of Long Clawson in the County of Leicester, farmer, one of the Executors in this will named, was duly sworn to the truth and faithful performance thereof, as usual, and that goods, chattels and credits of the deceased do not amount in value to the sum of Four Hundred and Fifty Pounds and that the deceased died on the 7th day of December 1839
