Sarah Mackley of Long Clawson 1778 Will

In the Name of God Amen I Sarah Mackley of Long Clawson otherwise Claxton in the County of Leicester, widow, being weak in body but of a perfect and sound mind and memory do make, constitute and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following

Imprimis, I give and bequeath to my Daughter Ann Mackley the Sum of two Pounds two Shillings

Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth Marriott the Sum of two pounds two Shillings

Item I give and bequeath to my Son William Mackley the Sum of two pounds two shillings and further my Will is that my said Son William Mackley shall be provided with all decent necessary and sufficient wearing Apparel during his present Apprenticeship by and at the expence of my Executor herein after mentioned

Item I give and devise all that my Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances thereunto belonging situate standing and being in the Parish of Scalford in the County of Leicester and also all those my two Closes lying and being in the new enclosed Liberties of Scalford aforesaid all which are now in the Tenure and Occupation of Gabriel Goodacre to my Son Robert Mackley his Heirs and Assigns for ever

And Lastly I give and bequeath to my said Son Robert Mackley all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods, Chattels, Cattle and Personal Estate of what nature and kind soever to me appertaining (subject to the Payment of my Debts, Legacies and Funeral expences) whom I do hereby make, constitute and ordain whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby ratify and declare this and none other to be my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this Tenth Day of June in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred and seventy seven
