Charles Lowe of Nether Broughton 1760 Will

In the Name of God Amen I Charles Loe the Elder of Neather Broughton in the County of Leicester Weaver being Aged and Weak in Body but of perfect Memory (praised be Almighty God for the same) do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say)

First I resign my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it me and my Body I Commit to the Earth to be Decently Buryed at the Discretion of my Executrix and Executor hereafter Named and as for my Temporall Estate which it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me I give Devise and bequeath as followeth

First I give unto my son Charles Loe and his heirs and assigns for ever my house and cottage and half Oxgang of land with five Cowpastures and all the Commons and appurtenances theirunto belonging

Also I give unto my son Henry Loe the sum of Twenty pounds at my Decease

Also my Will is that my son Charles Loe pay Ten pounds unto my son Henry Loe being the Legacy his late Grandfather gave him

Also I give unto my Daughter Sarah Bloomfield one shilling

All the rest of my goods Cattle looms ready money and personal Estate Whatsoever (my Debts Legacys and Funeral Expences being first paid) I give unto my loving Wife Jane Loe and my son Charles Loe Whom I nominate and appoint full and joint Executrix and executor of this my last will and Testament

In witness whereof I the said Charles Loe the testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this eight Day of April and in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and fifty six and in the Twenty ninth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second of Great Brittain France and Ireland King &c

Also my will is my son Charles Loe have all my personal Estate at this Mother’s Decease
