Isabelle Lockton of Grimston 1633 Will

In the name of God Amen I Isabell Lockton of Grimston in the Countye of Leicester Widdowe beinge sicke in bodye but of perfect memorye thankes be to god therefore doe make my last Will and testament the thirteenth day of July in the yeare of our Lord God one Thousand six hundred & thirtye and three in manner and forme following

Imprimis I bequeath my soule into the hands of Jesus Christ my Saviour my bodye to the ground in sure and certayne hope through his merites to rise agayne unto eternall lyfe, And for my termporall goodes &c

Item I give unto my sonne William Lockton one shillinge, to my daughter Elizabeth one shillinge, to my daughter Joane one shillinge, and to my daughter Francis one shillinge to each and every of them in lew and full payment of theire severall portions so as they shall not from tyme ot tyme or at any tyme hereafter lay clayme to any parte or portion of my goods and Chattelles whatsoever, which some of one shillinge my will is shall be payd unto them and every of them within one moneth next after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Margarett one Coffer with those lynens that are in yt whereof shee hath the key togeather with those Clothes as well wollens as lynnens as goe to the ground with me

All the Residue of my goodes and Chattells unbequeathed I leave in the hands of my sonne William Lockton whome I make my soule Executor of this my last will and Testament to dispose of in his dyscretion

In wittness whereof I the sayd Isabell Lockton have hereunto sett my hand and seale the daye and yeare above written
