Daniel Lee of Long Clawson 1709 Will

In the Name of God Amen this twenty third day of September in the yeare of our Lord 1709 I Daniell Lee of Claxton als Long Clawson in the County of Leicester weaver being sicke and weake of Body but of sound and perfect mind and memory thanks be to God therefore doe make this my Last will and testament in manner following (that is to say)

Impris I will that my debts and funerall Charges be paid and discharged

Item I Give all my shop Goods to be equally divided betweene my sons John Lee and William Lee

Item I Give to my Loveing Wife Judith all the Rest of my personall estate undisposed of my said Wife Judith paying to my Daughter Elizabeth the sume of ten pounds within the space of one yeare after my desease and the further sume of five pounds which I owe to the poor of Long Clawson aforesaid

Item I Give to my trusty friends Henry Hebb and Robert Garton yeom Both of Long Clawson aforesaid all my house and Lands & Comons thereto belonging with their appurtts Lyeing and being in the East end of the Towne Feildes and Liberties of Long Clawson aforesaid and to their heirs and assignes forever to Lett sett sell and dispose thereof And the moneys soe Raised I Give and dispose thereof as followeth That is to say

I Give to my son William Lee ten pounds

Item I Give to my son Daniell Lee the sume of ten pounds to be plased at Interest for him imediately after the sale of my said estate for and until he attaine the age of one and twenty years or the day of Marriage which shall first happen

Item I Give to my son Joseph Lee the sume of ten pounds to be plased at Interest for him immediately after the sale of my said estate for and until he attaine the age of one and twenty years or the day of Marriage which shall first happen

Item I Give my Grandson Daniell Nicholls the sume of five pounds imediately after the sale of my said estate

Item I give to my daughter Judith one shilling

Item my will and mind is that after the sale of my said estate and the severall sumes above mensoned accordingly paid the overplus if any be I give and dispose thereof to my sons Daniell Lee and Joseph Lee to be equally divided between them when they attain the several days or ages aforesaid

Item I make my Loveing Wife Judith Lee Sole executrix of this my Last will and testament Revokeing all former wills by me heretofore made

In Witnesse whereof I the said Daniell Lee Have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written
