In the Name of God Amen This Eight day of March in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and Thirty Seven I Nathan Knight of Scalford in the County of Leicester Farmer being Sick and weak in Body but of Sound mind and memory praised be God for the same do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament (That is to Say)

Principally and first of all I give and Recomand my Soul into the hands of God that gave it & my Body to the Earth to be Buried in the Christian like & decent manner at the discretion of my Executorix herein after menconed and as to my worldly goods and Effects (after my debts & funural charges are fully paid and Satisfyed) I give devise and dispose of the Same in manner and forme following (That is the Say)

Imprimis I give and bequeath unto Thomas Pick of Melton Mobray in the County of Leicester Jun hould and my Brother Edward Knight of … in the said county of Leicester the Sume of forty pounds to be Raised out of my Effects in Twelve months time & to be paid to the sd Thomas Pick and Edward Knight by my Executrix in Trust & for the only proper use & behoof of my Daughter Ann Knight as followeth That is to Say

The Said forty pounds to be placed out at Interest upon Land Security or other Sufficient mortgage and my Loving wife to Receive the sd Interest for the Same untill my Said Daughter comes to the age of Twelve years and after the Said Twelve years is Expired then the Said forty pounds & its Interest to go forwards for my Said Daughter until She Attains her full age of Twenty one years and then the said forty pounds & its Intrest to be at her own will & Disposeing but not before and my will and pleasure is that if in Case my Said Daughter Should dye before She attains her full age of Twenty one years as a foresaid that then the sd forty pounds & the Interest then due to go to my Father & mother Nathan & Temperance Knight or the Survivour of them and in Case they Should be Dead Then to the Survivours of my Brothers & Sisters Share & Share alike

Item all that part of my houshold Goods which my Father & mother gave me towards housekeeping I give and bequeath to my Daughter Ann Knight

Item all the Rest of my goods Chattels & Cattel whatsoever I give & bequeath unto my Loving wife Mary Knight Taking care & bringing up my Said Daughter till she is Twelve years of age whom I Likewise Constitute make and ordain my only & Sole Executorix of this my Last will & Testament
