This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary Kirk of Scalford Leicestershire Widow

I Give and Devise all the messuages Cottages closes lands and Hereditaments situated in Leicester in the county of Leicester and Upper Broughton in the county of Nottingham with their appurtenances which descended to me as the only sister and Heir at Law of John Morris late of Scalford aforesaid Grazier deceased unto my son William Kirk his Heirs and assigns for ever

I Give unto my said son William Kirk Two hundred pounds to be paid to him within twelve months after my death by my Executrix

And as [“to” missing] the[MJ1]  rest of my personal estate and effects subject to the payment of the above legacy my debts funeral and testamentary expences I Give the same unto my two daughters Sarah Sharpe and Elizabeth Pilkington their executors and Administrators in equal shares and appoint them joint executors of this my last Will hereby revoking all others by me made

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 16th day of September 1834

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Mary Kirk as and for her last Will and testament in our presence who have at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other set our hands as Witnesses to the due execution thereof

Sarah Sharpe, wife of Richard Sharpe the elder malster of Scalford in the county of Leicester the sole surviving executrix in this will named was duly sworn to the truth & faithful performance thereof as usual & that the goods chattels & credits of the deceased do not amount in value to the sum of one thousand pounds (£1000) as that the decease died on the 14th day of May last past
