This is the last Will and Testament of me Richard Julian of Harby in the County of Leicester Grazier

I Give and bequeath All my Stock Cattle chattels implements of Husbandry Household furniture ready money securities for money and all other my Personal Estate and effects of whatsoever nature or kind the same may be and wheresoever situate Unto my Son in law William Goodson and my Grandson John Tipping both of Croxton Kerrial in the said County of Leicester or the survivor of them his executors and administrators Upon trust that they the said William Goodson and John Tipping or the survivor his executors and administrators do and shall as soon as convenient after my decease absolutely sell and convert into money all such and so much of my Personal Estate and effects as shall not at the time of my decease consist of money and collect and get in all such sums of money as may be due and owing to me on any security or securities and all debts that may be owing to me from any person or persons whomsoever And by with and out of the monies so to be received and got in I direct my said Trustees and the survivor of them his executors and administrators to pay and discharge all my just debts funeral and Testamentary expences and after the payment and satisfaction thereof Then I direct my said Trustees and the survivor of them his executors and administrators to divide the whole of the Residue of my said Personal Estate and effects into three parts and pay the same as hereinafter mentioned that is to say

As to one equal third part of the whole of my said Residuary Personal estate I Give and bequeath the same unto my Son John Julian his executors and administrators absolutely

As to one other third part thereof I Give and bequeath the same unto my Daughter Mary the Wife of the said William Goodson her executors and administrators absolutely Provided always and I do hereby declare it my Will to be that in case my said Daughter Mary Goodson should happen to die in my lifetime then and in that case I Give and bequeath the said one third share (so as aforesaid given to her) of my said Personal Estate unto my son in law the said William Goodson his executors and administrators absolutely

And as to the remaining third part or share of my said Personal Estate I Give and bequeath the same unto my Housekeeper Ann Wesson her executors and administrators absolutely

Provided always and I do hereby declare it to be my Will that my said Trustees or the survivor of them his executors and administrators shall be chargeable respectively for such monies only as they respectively shall actually receive by virtue of the trusts hereby in them reposed notwithstanding their giving or signing or joining in giving or signing any receipt or receipts for the sake of conformity neither shall they be answerable or accountable for involuntary losses nor for the failure of any Banker or Broker in whose hands any of the Trust monies may be placed for safe custody but each for their own wilful neglect and default only

And Lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint the said William Goodson and John Tipping Trustees and Joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all others by me made

Melton Mowbray Third day of August 1852

William Goodson of Croxton Kerrial in the County of Leicester Cottager and John Tipping of Croxton Kerrial aforesaid Farmer the Executors in this Will named were duly sworn to the truth and faithful performance thereof as usual and to the truth of the usual Stamp Office Affidavit, and that the goods chattels and credits of the deceased, without deducting any thing on account of Debts owing therefrom do not amount in value to the Sum of Three hundred Pounds and that the deceased died on the eleventh day of March last past
