This is the last Will and Testament of me Charles Johnson of Scalford in the County of Leicester Farmer

I revoke all Wills and Testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me

I appoint John Roberts of Scalford aforesaid Farmer and Thomas Beastall of Eaton in the said County of Leicester Farmer to be the Executors and Trustees of this my Will and I hereby give to each of them the said John Roberts and Thomas Beastall if they shall prove this my Will the sum of Forty pounds

I devise all my real estate and bequeath all my personal estate unto the said John Roberts and Thomas Beastall Upon trust that they or the survivor of them or the Executors or Administrators of such survivor as soon as conveniently may be after my decease sell my said real estate and shall stand possessed of the moneys to be thereby produced and of the securities representing the same and of the income arising therefrom (hereinafter called the Trust fund) upon trust hereinafter declared to be concerning the same that is to say

Upon trust to pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts

And upon further trust to raise the sum of Fifty pounds and pay the same to my niece Annie Johnson who resides with me and also to raise the further sum of Fifty pounds and to pay the same to my niece Annie Haywood And also to raise the further sum of Fifty pounds and to pay the same to my grand niece Annie Copeland the wife of [blank] Copeland of the “Chequers Inn” Holbeach in the County of Lincoln And also to raise the further sum of Fifty pounds and to pay the same to my grand niece Violet Johnson who lives with her mother the said Annie Johnson And also to raise the further sum of Fifty pounds and to pay the same to my brother Frederick Johnson And also to raise the further [“sum” missing] of Ten pounds and to pay the same to John Johnson a son of my said brother Frederick Johnson And also to raise the further sum of Forty pounds and to pay the same to Arthur Johnson the son of the said Frederick Johnson And also to raise the further sums of Twenty pounds for and to pay the same to each child of John Roberts one of my Executors appointed by this my Will

And upon further trust to stand possessed of the residue of my trust fund and of the securities representing the same in trust for the children of my late brother Isaiah Johnson and my niece Lucy Johnson and her brother Charles Johnson (the eldest son of my brother Daniel Johnson) All in equal shares

And I also declare that all moneys liable to be invested under this my Will may be invested on Government securities or on any other stocks funds or securities authorised by law for trust funds or in the purchase of inscribed stock of any British Colony or on mortgage of any leasehold houses or land in England or Wales held for any term having sixty years to run at the time of the investment
