There are two copies of this will in the Archives. One has large parts missing and is also partly obliterated by water damage but the probate copy is in perfect order.
In the name of God amen the fiftenth day of November 1694 I Etherd Jackson of Wartnaby the Seaner in the County of Leicester beeing seecke and weeake of Bodey but of sound and parfect memery prasse be to God for it I do entend this my last Will and Testemene in maner and form foleing that is to say
First I comett my Sole to Allmighty God my maker and my body to be buered in the Chappil yard as my execter shall think fit and my worly goods as foleth
Item I give to John Jackson my Ealdest sun the sume of three pound and all my howshold stuf except my grate coat and my grate bible
It I give to Thomas Hareson of Gadsby in the County afore said the sume of two pounds
It I give to John Soars and Jane Soers sone and daughter to Elias Soears of Rarsby in the County aforesaid the Sume of Twenty Shelens appease
It I give to William Jackson my Son one Shilen and to my daughter Dodsly at Notingham one Shilen
It I give to Etherd Jackson my soune the Sume of forty Shilns the which I make my full exceter of all my Goodes undesposed of after my funerele expences paid and the Coart setsified and interly revouk all former willess heretofore wich I have in anye isse made in
