Francis Huckerby of Long Clawson 1816 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me Francis Huckerby of Claxton otherwise Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Bricklayer

First I give and devise All my Messuages Tenements Land and real Estate whatsoever to my Brother James Huckerby and his Heirs and Assigns for ever

And I give and bequeath to my Daughter in Law Frances Miller the Wife of John Miller of Claxton aforesaid the sum of five pounds and to her Daughter Elizabeth Miller my late Wife’s Gold Ring

Also I give and bequeath to my three Sisters Elizabeth Turval Martha Wainwright and Sarah Pick the sum of five pounds apiece

And all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Cattle Chattels and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath to my said Brother James Huckerby Subject nevertheless to the payment of all my just debts and my Funeral and Testamentary expences and I do hereby make and ordain my said Brother James Huckerby whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and do ratify and declare this and none other to be my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I the said Testator have hereunto set my hand and Seal this seventh day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifteen

Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Francis Huckerby (the Testator) as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in is presence at his request have subscribed our names as Witnesses thereto

Let a probat be granted to James Huckerby of Hose in the County of Leicester Bricklayer sole Executor within named

He the said James Huckerby being duly sworn as well to the faithful Execution of the will as that the Testator’s Goods Chattels & Credits do not amount in value to the sum of one hundred Pounds
