John Hubbard of Harby 1758 Will

Diocese of Lichfield Wills and Probate 1758

In the Name of God Amen I John Hubbard of Harby in the County of Leicester Gentleman being of sound & disposing mind & Memory (Praised be Almighty God for the same) do upon the serious thoughts of Death make this my last Will & Testament in manner & form following (that is to say)

First & principally I Will & direct that all my Just Debts Legacys hereinafter mentioned & Funeral charges be lawfully paid & discharged by Executor hereinafter named & for that intent & purpose I do hereby charge all my Real as well as Personal Estates (hereinafter mentioned) with the Payment thereof

& Subject thereto & chargeable therewith I Give I Devise All my Messuages, Cottages, Closes Lands Tenements & Hereditaments whatsoever which I am now Possessed of or Intitled unto Situate & being in Hose in the said County of Leicester or in the Libertys or Territorys thereof, unto my Son Robert Hubbard & his Heirs & Assignes for Ever

Also I Give to my Sister Elizabeth Hubbard the Sum of One Hundred & Twenty Pounds

Also I Give to my Son John Hickling Hubbard the sum of Fifty Pounds which two money Legacys I Will & direct shall be paid to the respective Legatees within Twelve Callendar Months next after my decease

Also All the rest & residue of my Estates both Real & Personal whatsoever or wheresover or of what nature or kind soever the same be or consist & which are not already Settled upon my Marriage or otherwise by me Settled to my Mind from & after the Payment of my Just Debts Funeral Expenses & Legacys above mentioned I Give & Devise the same & every part thereof unto my said Son Robert Hubbard his Heirs Executors Administrators & Assignes for ever

And Lastly I do nominate constitute & appoint my said Son John Hickling Hubbard Sole Executor of this my Will hereby revokeing all former Wills by me made

In Witness whereof I the said John Hubbard the Testator have to this my Will set my hand & Seal this Eighth day of March in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred & fifty six
