In the name of god Amen xxiiiithe daie of December in the yeare of our lord god 1573 I John Hubberd of Harbie in the countie of Leicester yeoman beinge of hole mynde and perfyte remembrance thankes be to god doe make this my laste will and Testament in maner and forme followinge

Firste I bequethe and comende my sole to almyghtie god trusting assuredlie in the greate mercie of god that my synnes are clerelie forgeaven by Jesus Christ through his most precious Deathe and passion & beinge clothed with the Righteousnes of hym I trust to come to his everlastinge kingdome there with all angels continuallie to prayse hym

Nowe concerninge my temperall goods which by his fatherlie goodness hathe lent me my mynde is by the grace of god to dispose theym as followethe

Item I geve to the mothere churche of Lincoln vid

Item I geve and bequethe to Eliz Hubberd my eldest Dowghter xx li of good and lawfull money of Ingland to be payd to her at the age of xxiiiite yeares

Item I geve and bequethe to Marie Hubberd my second Dowghter xx li to be payd her at the age of xxiiiite yeares

Item I geve and bequethe to Issabell Hubberd my youngeste Dowghter xx li to be payd to her at the age of xviiith yeares yf she soe longe lyve

Item I bequethe to James Hubberd my eldest sonne vi li xiiis iiiid to be payd hym at the age of xx yeares

Item I bequethe to Richard Hubberd my second sonne vi li xiiis iiiid to be payd to hym at the age of xxti yeares

Moreover I will yf anie of my forenamed chyldren shall die before the tyme that there aforesayd parte be dewe to be payd that then his or there parte soe deceased shalbe equallie devyded amongeste the rest of Bretherne and Systers then lyvinge

Itm I bequethe to my Brother Roberte Hubberde a quarter of rye and a quarter of barley

And to everie of his children one yewe shepe

It I bequethe to Margarett Dawne a shepe hogge

Itm I bequethe to her brother John Dawne a shepe hogge

Itm I bequether to Wm Smythe a shepe hogge

Itm I geve to Francis Ch… a bushell of wheate and a bushell of barley towards saving his croppe

The rest of my goods and chattayles not geaven nor bequeathed my Detts beinge payd I geve to Alice Hubberd my wyfe and John Hubberde my youngeste Sonne whom I Doe make my full executors of this my laste will & testament and I wil that these ii executors aforenamed shall beare in all causes equalle portions bothe in receavinge and paying

Alsoe I Doe constitute & make Willm Newell of Barrowe & Thomas Squire of Woodhowse the Supervisers of this my laste will and testament and eythere of theym to have for there paynes iiis iiiid
