Jasper Houghton of Saxelby 1843 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me Jasper Houghton of Saxelby in the County of Leicester, Farmer, as follows, (that is to say)

I will and direct that all my just debts and funeral expences and the expences of proving this my Will be paid out of my property as soon as conveniently may be after my decease, and I do charge my property with the payment thereof

And as to my monies, securities for money, goods, chattles, household furniture, and all my worldly estate whatsoever and wheresoever, and of what nature, kind and quality soever the same may be, after payment of my debts, funeral expences, and the expences of proving this my Will, I do hereby given and bequeath the same unto my dear Sister Alice Clark, her executors administrators and assigns, to and for her own use and benefit absolutely

And I do hereby make, constitute, and appoint my said Sister Alice Clark sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I the said Jasper Houghton the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12th day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and forty three

Alice Clark of Saxelby in the County of Leicester Widow the Sole Executrix in this Will named was duly sworn to the Truth and faithful performance thereof as usual and that the Goods Chattels and Credits of the deceased do not amount in value to the Sum of Four hundred and fifty pounds and that the deceased died on the fourteenth day of May last past.
