In the name of god amen I John Hoes of Harby in the County of Leicester yeoman being weake in body but of sound and perfect memory prased be to god for it I doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament in maner and form following that is to say

First and principally I Commend my soule into the hands of almighty god hoping thorough the merits death and passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon of and forgiveness of all my sins and to Inhereit Everlasting Life and my body I Commite to the earth

And as touching the disposition of all such temperall Estate as it hath pleased god to bestow upon mee I give and disspouse thereof as followeth

Imprimis I give and bequeath to my Son William five pounds of good and lawfull mony of England to be paid at the Eleaventh day of November next after my decease

Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Anne Hoes tenn pounds of good and lawful mony of England to be paid the Eleaventh day of November next after my decease

Item I give and bequeath to Jane Hoes my daughter ten pounds of good and lawfull mony of England to be paid one whole yeare and halfe after my decease

Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth ten pounds of good and lawfull mony of England to be paid two whole yeares and halfe after my decease

Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Hoes ten pounds of good and lawfull mony of England to be paid three whole yeares and a half after my decease

Item I give to John Hoes my Son one shilline to be paid at my deacease

Item I give and bequeath to Easter Hoes my daughter five pounds of good and lawfull mony of England to be paid foure whole years and a halfe after my decease

Likewise I give to my daughter Easter all and every of the houshould goods that was and is known to be her owne mothers that she brought to mee

Item I give to Richard Hose my brothers … Hoes son foure pounds of good and lawfull mony of England to be paid five whole years after my decease to bind him to a trade with all

Item for all the Residue of my goods unbequeathed whatsoever my depts and Legacies paid and my funerall discharged I doe give and bequeath to Alice Hoes my wife and to William Hoes my Son whom I ordaine and make my full sole Executors of this my Last will and testament and I doe hereby make voide and disanull all foremer wills by mee made and to this my Last will and testament I have subscribed my hand and seale This fourteenth day of May in the yeare of our Lord god One thousand six hundred Eighty and foure
