Thomas Hornbuckle of Nether Broughton 1779 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Hornbuckle of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Grazier

First I will that all my just debts and Funeral Expences be paid and discharge

I give and bequeath unto my Son John Hornbuckle of Frisby in the County of Leicester the sum of one Shilling

I give and bequeath unto my Son Thomas Hornbuckle of Upper Broughton in the County of Nottingham the sum of one Shilling

I give and bequeath unto my Grandaughter Ann, Daughter of Richard and Elizabeth Hill the sum of Ten Pounds to be paid her when she shall attain her full Age of Twenty one years

All the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Chattels and Personal Estate be they of what nature or kind soever not heretofore nor herein disposed of I give and bequeath the same as follows (That is to say)

I give and bequeath unto my Dear Wife Ann Hornbuckle two full third parts of all my Goods Chattels and Personal Estate, and the other full third I give and bequeath unto my Son in Law Richard Hill of Nether Broughton aforesaid

And I do hereby Nominate Constitute and Appoint my said Wife Ann Hornbuckle and my said Son in Law Richard Hill my full Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and Testament and that they shall pay and do all things therein contained in proportion to their several bequests

And I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made and this only to be my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Hornbuckle the Testator have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this twenty first day of December in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred and seventy seven

Signed, Sealed, Published, and declared, by the said Thomas Hornbuckle the Testator, for and as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us
