John Hind of Nether Broughton 1844 Will

In the name of God Amen I John Hind of Nether Broughton Lodge in the Parish of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Cottager, being weak in body, but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding, praised be God for the same, do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following

First I commend my soul in the hands of Almighty God, my Creator, hoping for a remission of all my sins by the merits and mediation of my saviour Jesus Christ and my body I commit to the earth, to be decently interred, at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named

And as to all my worldly estate being all personal I give devise and bequeath the same unto my dear Wife Ann, for her sole use and benefit, for and during the term of her natural life, and after her decease I give and bequeath the same unto William and Alice Marriott who now reside with me to them their heirs and assigns for ever

And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my dear Wife Ann sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament

In witness where I the said John Hind the Testator have to this my Will set my hand and seal this 26th day of February in the year of our Lord 1841

Ann Hind of Nether Broughton in the county of Leicester, Widow, the sole Executrix in this will named was duly sworn to the truth & faithful performance thereof as usual & that the goods chattels & credits of the deceased without deducting any debts owing by him therefrom do not amount in value to the sum of one hundred pounds, & that the said deceased died on the fourteenth day of October last past
