Mary Hickling of Long Clawson 1681 Will and Inventory

In the name of God Amen I Mary Hicklinge of Claxton Alis Longe Clauson Widdow Beinge weake in Body but of a sound and perfect Memory praise be therefore Given to Allmighty god, doe make and ordaine this my Last will and Testament in Manner and forme followinge, that is to say

First and principally I comend my soule into the hands of Allmighty god Hopeinge through the Merritts death and passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my sinns and to Inheritt everlasting life, and my Body I comitt to the Earth to be decently Buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named and as touching the disposition of all such Temporall Estate as it hath pleased Allmighty god to bestow upon mee I give and dispose thereof as followeth

Item I give unto my Grand Child William Hicklinge a table and the forme in the parlor

Item I Give unto my other two Grand Chilldren Edward Hicklinge and Mary Hicklinge twelve penc a peice

Item I give unto my Soone Garrets two Chilldren twelve penc a peice

Item I Give unto Mary More my Maid Six penc

Furthermore my will is that my daughter Mary and my daughter Elizabeth shall have all my wearinge apparrill Lininge and woollen to be equally divided betwixt them

And all the Rest and Residue of my personall Estate goods and Chattells whatsoever I doe give and Bequeath unto my Lovinge Soone Thomas Hicklinge whome I doe make full and whole executor of this my Last will and Testament and I doe hereby Revoake disanull and make void all former wills and Testaments by mee heretofore made

In wittness whereof I have hereunto sett my hands and seale in the twenty sixt yeare of the Raigne of our Sovaraigne Lord Charles the 2d by the Grace of god of England Scotland France and Ireland King defender of the faith &c 1674
