Thomas Harwood of Wycomb 1840 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Harwood, Farmer, of the Parish of Wycombe, in the County of Leicester, that is to say

I desire that the whole of my Real Estate situate in the Parish of Ratcliffe in the County of Nottingham, be sold, in three, five, or seven years after my decease, according to the best judgment of my Executors, hereafter named, but not sooner than the first period, nor later than the last period above mentioned, and that after the claims of the Mortgagees have been satisfied, the residue shall be equally divided among my following children, or their heirs, viz William Harwood, Mary Marsh, Elizabeth Houghton, Hannah Hobson, Martha Kirkland, Ann Ward, Editha Wright and Thomas Harwood

I also hereby give & devise to my son William, all my Personal Property for his sole use

I also hereby nominate, constitute, and appoint my sons William and Thomas, their heirs, administrators, and assigns, joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament

In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this seventeenth day of March, one thousand, eight hundred, and thirty nine

Let a Probate be made to William Harwood of Wykeham in the County of Leicester Farmer and Grazier and Thomas Harwood of Sneinton in the County of Nottingham Minister of the Gospel the joint Executors named in the will of the deceased

They being duly sworn as well to the faithful Execution of the Will as that the testators Goods Chattels and Credits without deducting any debts owing by the deceased therefrom do not amount in value to the Sum of twenty Pounds and that the deceased died on the 18th May 1839
