Comitaty of Leicester the 22 day of Aprill 1695

In the name of god Amen I William Hand of Hardby in the County of Leic yeoman being weake of Body but in parfect memory praised be Almighty god for it Do make and adorn [sic] this my last will and Testament In manor and form following

First and principally I comend my soule into the hands of Almighty god Hopeing through the merits death and Pasion of my savior Jesus Christ to receave full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and to Inherit ever lasting life and my body to be Decently Buried in the parish church or Church yard according to the Descretion of my Executrix hereafter named

And as touching my temporall estate as it haith plesed Almighty god to bestow of me I give and despose as Folloeth

Imprims first I give unto Mary Hand which was the Daughter of Richard Hand Decesed of Hardby the sum of one pound Twelve shillings to be paid one yeare after my Decease

It I give unto my son in Law John Hardby one shilling and to Mary his wife one shilling to be paid at my Decease

It I give unto Kathorne Hardby my Grandchild Daughter of John Hardby and of Mary his wife the sum of five pounds to be paid to her when she shall accomplish the yeares of sixteene

All these afore mentioned to be paid by my Executrix hereafter Mentioned

It I give unto my Deare wife Kathorne Hand the elder two Kyne five sheep to enter of them at my decease halfe the Houshould goods

It it is my will That William Tinsley my son in law whom I doe intend to make my executor shall Truly & faithfully plow till my free hould land for my deare wife Kathorne his Mother dureing her natruall Life And find seed for the first time soing of it And to Bring it whom to her apponted place in Hardby

I will that my Debts and funerall chardges shall be paid and Dischardged

All the rest and Residue of my personall estate goods and Chattles whatsoever I doe give unto William Tinsley of Hardby my son in Law whom I doe make and ordaine my full and sole executrix of this my Last will and Testament

And I do hereby revoke disanull make void all former wills and Testaments by me heretofore made

In Wittness whereof I the said William Hand do set my Hand and seale the 22 day of April 1695 in the seven yeare of the Raigne of King William
