Andrew Guy of Ab Kettleby 1816 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me Andrew Guy of Abb Kettleby in the County of Leicester Grazier

First I desire my just Debts funeral and testamentary expences by fully paid

I Give and Devise unto my Housekeeper Elizabeth Line and her Assigns for the term of her natural life One Annuity or Yearly Sum of ten pounds of lawful English money to be paid to her half yearly that is to say the tenth day of October and the fifth day of April in every year without any deduction whatsoever the first payment thereof to be made on either of the said days as shall first happen after my death And I do hereby direct the said Annuity or Yearly Sum of ten pounds to be charged and chargeable upon and issueable and payable out of a certain Messuage or Tenement situate in Ab Kettleby aforesaid and in the tenure of John Rose [?] and also a small Close belonging to the said Messuage or Tenement lying in the said Parish containing two Acres and one rood and in my own occupation And I Give unto the said Elizabeth Line and her Assigns such and the same power of obtaining and enforcing paying of the said Annuity and all Arrears thereof as Landlords have for the obtaining and enforcing payment of Rent in Arrear

I Give and Devise the said Messuage or Tenement and small Close belonging thereto (subject to and chargeable with the payment of the said Annuity) And also all other my Messuages Cottages Closes Lands and Hereditaments situate and being in Ab Kettleby aforesaid or elsewhere within the Kingdom of England and Also all my Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever (subject to my Debts funeral and testamentary expences) unto my Nephew Andrew Guy of Ab Kettleby aforesaid Grazier his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever

And I do hereby appoint the said Andrew Guy sole Executor of this my Last Will and testament hereby revoking all others by me made

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this tenth day of May One thousand eight hundred and fifteen

Signed sealed and delivered by the within named Andrew Guy the testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other set our hands as Witnesses to the due execution thereof

Let a Probate be made to Andrew Guy of Ab Kettleby in the County of Leicester Farmer and Grazier the Sole Executor named in the will of the deceased who died 30th November last at Ab Kettleby

He being duly Sworn as well to the faithful Execution of the Will as that the testators Goods Chattels and Credits as they were at his death without deducting any debts owing by the deceased therefrom did not amount in value to the Sum of Six Hundred Pounds
