This is the last Will and Testament of me William Gratton of Stathern in the County of Leicester Yeoman made the twenty second day of May One Thousand Eight Hundred and thirty five that is to say

After the payment of all my Legal Debts I give and devise all that my House Messuage Tenement with the Out Buildings together with the Orchard or Paddock or Piece of Ground adjoining and belonging thereto situate standing laying and being in the Parish of Stathern in the said County of Leicester also all those two Closes or Parcel of Ground containing nearly seven Acres laying or being situate in Stathern in the said County of Leicester and adjoining the Road leading to Plungar and all other my Real Estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto my dear Wife Bridgett Gratton

Also I give and bequeath all my Household Goods and Personal Estate whatsoever unto my said Wife for her own use and benefitt and I do hereby nominate and apoint her my said Wife Sole Executrix of this my last Will

In Witness I the said William Gratton have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above mentioned

Bridgett Gratton of the Parish of Stathern in the county of Leicester Widow the sole executrix in this will named was duly sworn to the truth & faithful performance thereof as usual & that the goods chattels & credits of the deceased do not amount in value to the sum of twenty pounds & that the deceased died on the twenty third day of May 1835 [sic]
