In the Name of God Amen I John Goodwin of Goadby Marwood in the County of Leicester Grazier being in perfect health and of sound Mind Memory and Understanding and Considering the Uncertainty of this Life Do make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (That is to say)
First of all I give my Soul to God who gave it me And my Body I Commit to the Earth to be decently interred at the Discretion of my Executor herein after named
And as for my Worldly Estate which hath pleased God to bless me with I give and Dispose thereof as follows
In the first place I give and bequeath unto my Eldest Daughter Sarah Dixon the Wife of William Dixon of Eastwell in the said County of Leicester Horse Doctor the Sume of one Shilling to be paid her immediately after my Decease by my Executor hereinafter named
And Also I give and bequeath to my Second Daughter Mary Goodwin the Sum of Eighty pounds to be paid her within Twelve months next after my Decease by my Executor hereinafter named
And Also I give and bequeath unto my said Daughter Mary Goodwin one Bed Bedding and Furniture a Table, Glass, Box and Chest standing in the best Chamber in my now Dwelling House in Goadby Marwood aforesaid And Also one large Silver spoon and two Silver Teaspoons to be delivered unto her within Twelve Months next after my Decease by my said Executor
And Also I give and bequeath unto my youngest Daughter Elizabeth Goodwin the Sum of Eighty pounds to be paid her within Twelve months next after my Decease by my said Executor
And Also I give and Bequeath unto my said youngest Daughter Elizabeth Goodwin one Pladd Bed Bedding and Furniture, one Chest of Drawers and Chest standing in the boarded Chamber in my said Dwelling House in Goadby Marwood aforesaid And Also four Silver Teaspoons to be Delivered unto her within Twelve Months next after my Decease by my said Executor
And Lastly All the rest residue and Remainder of my Goods Stock Cattle Chattells rights Credits and Personal Estate of what kind or nature soever (my Debts Legacies and Funerall Expences being first paid and Discharged) I Give and bequeath unto my only Son John Goodwin whom I Do hereby appoint full and Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament Revoking all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made
In Witness whereof I the said John Goodwin the Father and Testator have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this Fifth Day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Seven

Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said John Goodwin the Father and Testator to be his last Will and Testament In the Presence of us The Witnesses under Written who have at his request And in his Presence And in the presence of Each other Set our hands As Witnesses to the Execution of this his said Will And the Severall Erazures made in the Body of the said Will were done before the Execution hereof
