This is the last Will and Testament of me Elizabeth Goodson of Scalford in the County of Leicester Widow

I give and devise my small Close of Land containing one acre or thereabouts situate at Scalford aforesaid and all other the Real Estate of which I shall die possessed to my Niece Elizabeth the Wife of William Thomas Kirk of Scalford aforesaid her heirs and assigns for ever but subject to the payment at the expiration of six months from my death of the sum of Fifty pounds to my Nephew George Samuel Wells

I bequeath my Furniture and other Household Effects, money securities for money and all other my Personal Estate to the said George Samuel Wells and William Thomas Kirk Upon Trust to sell call in and convert into money the same or such part thereof as shall not consist of money and with and out of the money produced by such sale calling in and conversion and with and out of my ready money to pay my Funeral and Testamentary expenses and Debts and the following Legacies at the expiration of six months from my death (namely)

To my Cousin John Small of Asfordby Forty pounds

To his Sister Catherine Tyler, Widow, Twenty pounds

To Sarah Dennis of Easthorpe near Bottesford Widow Twenty pounds

To Sarah Patterson of Nottingham Twenty pounds

To Sybella Wells of Leominster Twenty pounds

To Jane Wells of Hereford Widow, Twenty pounds

To Susan the Widow of the late Arthur Sutherland Forty pounds

And to Emma Leeson if she be living with me at the time of my decease, but not otherwise, Ten pounds

And to divide the net residue of my said Personal Estate equally between the said Elizabeth Kirk and George Samuel Wells

And I appoint the said George Samuel Wells and William Thomas Kirk Executors of this my Will hereby revoking all other testamentary dispositions by me at anytime heretofore made

Signed and declared by the above named Testatrix as and for her last Will in the presence of us both present at the same time who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as attesting witness

Proved at Leicester on the twenty eighth day of September 1887 by the Oaths of George Samuel Wells the Nephew, and William Thomas Kirk, the Executors to whom Administration was granted

The Testatrix Elizabeth Goodson was late of Scalford in the County of Leicester Widow and died on the fifteenth day of April 1887 at Scalford aforesaid

Personal Estate Gross £1,547.13.9.  No deduction.
