William Goodecary of Holwell 1660 Will

In the name of God Amen the Five and Twentieth day of June Anno Dni 1649 I William Goodecary of Holwell in the parish of Ab Kettleby in the County of Leicester Shepherd doe make and ordaine my last will and Testament in manner and forme followeinge

First I bequeath my Soule into the hands of Almightie God hopeing assuredly through the onely meritte of Jesus Christe my Saviour to be made partaker of life everlastinge and my body I comend to the Earth from whence it was [“taken” missing]

Imprimis I doe give unto John Goodecary my eldest Sonne all my Land after the decease of his mother Elizabeth

It I doe give unto my said wife Elizabeth all my land untill such tyme as my said Sonne John Goodecary shall accomplish the full age of One and Twentie yeares And after One and Twentie yeares are expired that my said wife is to have but the Thirde out of the said Land dureing her lief

It I doe give unto my daughter Joane the some of Tenn pounds of lawfull money of England when she shall come to the age of One and Twentie yeares and that my said Sonne John shall paie itt her within one moneth after the said yeares be expired

It I doe give unto Willm Goodecary my second Sonne the sume of Tenn pounds of like lawfull money of England when he shall come to the age of One and Twentie yeares and that my said Sonne John shall paie itt to him within one moneth after the said yeares be expired

It my will and mind is that if either my said Daughter Joane or my said Sonne William shall dye before either of them shall come to the age of One and Twentie yeares that then my Sonne John is to paie the said Somme of Tenn pounds of like lawfull money to the Survivor or Survivor [sic] of them for her or his maintenance of … said … att the tyme above said

It for all my goods moveable and unmoveable I doe give unto my wife Elizabeth to be att her descreseion

It I doe give unto my all my Brothers Twelve pence a piece

It I doe make my wife my sole Executrix
