In the name of God Amen the twenty fourth day of August 1679 according to the Computation of the Church of England I Mathew Glen of Stathorne in the County of Leicester Blacksmith being of perfect memory and remembrance praised be God doe make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following vis

First I bequeath my soul into the hands of almighty God my maker hopeing that through the Meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and redeemer to receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my sinnes

And as for my body to be buried in Christian burial at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter nominated

Item I give unto my sonne William Glen Twelfe pence and all the toules in the Shopp the condition that my sonne William Glen doe Learne my sonne Roger Glen his Trade of a blacksmith which hee now useth

Item I give to my sonne Mathew Glen Twelfe pence

Item I give unto my sonne Roger Glen Twelfe pence

Item all the rest of my goods moveable and unmoveable I give unto Cassander my wife upon that Condition that shee shall paye all my debts and Legacies and make her sole Executrix of this my last Will & Testament revoking all other wills and Testaments

In wittness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and yeare above written
