Henrietta Glenn of Hose 1891 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me Henrietta Glenn of Hose in the County of Leicester Widow

I appoint my Cousins Robert Wilson late Postmaster of Stourbridge and Mary Ann his Wife to be my Executors and Trustees

I bequeath to the said Robert Wilson my Books and my small Bookcase

I bequeath to the said Mary Ann Wilson All my Plate and Plated Goods my three papier mache Trays all my Pictures including two subjects in embroidery framed and glazed and two stools with needlework covers and also my Weather Glass, Ornaments and Brackets

I bequeath to Sarah Ann Wilson daughter of the said Robert Wilson my Gold Watch and Chain, Workboxes, Writing Desk and Tea Caddy

I bequeath to Edward Guest Wilson son of the said Robert Wilson a Gold Albert Chain with Seal and compass a Gold Ring with the initials JG thereon Sword and Sheath and Mahogany Writing Desk

I bequeath all my Linen, Blankets, Rugs, Carpets, China and Glass to my said Trustees to dispose of according to their discretion

I bequeath all my household furniture except what I have hereinbefore otherwise disposed of and all other my money securities for money and other personal estate whatsoever to my Trustees Upon trust to sell call in and convert the same into money and stand possessed of the proceeds thereof Upon trust to pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts and to divide the residue between my sisters Caroline Perrins and Ellen Stanway in equal shares but if my said sister Caroline Perrins should die in my lifetime I bequeath the share to which she would have between entitled to my said Trustees to divide equally between them for their own absolute use and benefit

Signed and declared by the said testatrix as her last Will and Testament in the presence of us both present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses

This is a Codicil to the above written of me Henrietta Glenn

I direct that I the event of my sister Ellen Stanway dying in my lifetime the share of residue bequeathed to her by my said Will shall go to her daughter Isabel Measey to whom I bequeath the same accordingly

And I also bequeath to the said Isabel Measey all my wearing apparel and household linen

And in all other respects I confirm my said Will

Proved at Leicester with a Codicil on the tenth day of February 1891 by the Oath of Robert Wilson one of the Executors named in the Will to whom Administration was granted

Power reserved of making the like Grant to Mary Ann Wilson (Wife of the said Robert Wilson) the other Executor named in the Will

The Testatrix Henrietta Glenn was late of Hose in the County of Leicester Widow and died on the twenty sixth day of January 1891 at Hose aforesaid

Personal Estate Gross £171.7.4.  No deduction.
