Thomas Glassup of Chadwell 1812 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Glassup of Caudwell in the County of Leicester Farmer as follows

I desire my just Debts Funeral and Testamentary expences be fully paid

I Give and Devise All that my Messuage or Tenement yard Garden Orchard Close and premises situate standing lying and being in Caudwell aforesaid with the appurtenances unto my natural Son Joseph Glassup (by Elizabeth Tinkler Spinster deceased) his heirs and Assigns for ever In case he shall attain his age of twenty one years But if he shall happen to die before he shall have attained his said Age of twenty one years without lawful issue of his body Then I Give and Devise all my said real Estate and premises unto my Brother Joseph Glassup of Osbornby in the county of Lincoln Farmer his heirs and Assigns for ever

I Give and bequeath all my Household Goods other Goods stock Cattel Chattels rights credits ready money securities for money and all other my personal Estate of what nature or kind soever the same may be (subject to the payment of my just Debts Funeral and Testamentary expences) unto my said natural Son Joseph Glassup his Executors Administrators and Assigns

And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my two friends Thomas Newton of Thorpe Arnold in the county of Leicester Grazier and William Shelton of Caudwell in the said county Grazier Trustees and Guardians of my said natural Son Joseph Glassup during his minority and also joint executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made

In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Glassup the testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fifth day of April One thousand eight hundred and nine
