This is the last Will and Testament of me Ann Gilson of Grimston in the County of Leicester Spinster

I give and bequeath all my personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever unto Joseph Gilson and Edward Gilson both of Kirby Bellars in the County of Leicester laborers Upon Trust to pay thereout my debts funeral and testamentary expenses and the following Legacies viz

The sum of Fifteen pounds to Henry the Son of John and Eliza Wesson of Kirby Bellars aforesaid, the sum of Fifteen pounds to Mary Jane [Gilson, though Smith in 1871 census], the Daughter of Susan, Wife of Stephen Smith of Melton Mowbray in the said County of Leicester, the sum of Fifteen pounds to Elizabeth, Daughter of Samuel and Anne Walker of South Croxton in the said County of Leicester, the sum of Fifteen pounds to Sarah Daughter of Charles and Harriett Dalby of Quorndon in the said County of Leicester, and the sum of Fifteen pounds to Sarah Ann, Daughter of Richard and Ann Gilson of Kirby Bellars aforesaid, and in the event of any of the Legatees being under age at my decease I direct my said Trustees to invest the Legacy of such Minor in some Savings Bank, and at their discretion to apply the Interest for the benefit of such Legatee during minority, or to allow the same to accumulate, and to pay such Legacy with any accumulations of Interest to such Legatee on attaining his or her age of twenty one years

And in the event of any of the said Legatees dying under age, I direct the Legacy of him or her so dying to form part of the residue of my personal estate

And I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my said personal estate unto Margaret Gilson of Kirby Cottage, Torquay, and to the said Joseph Gilson and Edward Gilson equally to be divided amongst them, share and share alike, and in the event of either of them dying before such residue shall become payable then I bequeath the share of him or her so dying unto his or her child or children with the same power to invest such share for a minors benefit as I have hereinbefore directed with respect to the Legacies hereinbefore bequeathed

And I appoint the said Joseph Gilson and Edward Gilson Executors of this my Will and hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made, I declare this to be my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have, to this my last Will and Testament set my hand this Fourteenth day of September, One thousand eight hundred and seventy six
