This is the last Will and Testament of me William Garratt of the Parish of Hose in the County of Leicester Draper Tailor & Grazier

I hereby revoke all other Wills and Codicils made by me at any time heretofore

I give bequeath and devise all that my Dwelling House and Real Estate at Hose aforesaid and all my Monies Securities for Money Household Goods Stock in Trade and personal Estate and Effects whatsoever unto my dearly beloved Wife Hannah Garratt during the term of her natural life or so long as she continues my Widow

And from and immediately after her decease or second marriage in case either of the said events occur before my sons hereinafter named become of age I give bequeath and devise all my said Real and personal Estate Upon trust to my Brother in Law William Glenn of Hose aforesaid And my Brother in Law Richard Goodson of Little Dalby in the County of Leicester Unto and to the use of my two sons John Glenn Garratt and William Garratt during their minority in equal proportions of the value thereof but giving to my eldest son the said John Glenn Garratt the option of retaining the sole occupation of the House and its appurtenances should it be his desire so to do And also Upon Trust in case of the second marriage of the said Hannah Garratt to pay unto her out of the respective moieties of my said two Sons the sum of Fifty Pounds each

And after the decease or second marriage of the said Hannah Garratt and from and immediately after the attainment of the age of Twenty one years by my said two Sons respectively I give bequeath and devise unto them all the said Real and Personal Estate in equal proportions of the value thereof for their own separate and absolute use benefit and disposal And in case of the death of either of my two Sons before attaining the age of Twenty one years I give the whole to the Survivor

And I do hereby constitute and appoint my said Wife Hannah Garratt and the said William Glenn and Richard Goodson Executrix and Executors of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal in the presence of two subscribing witnesses this second day of May One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty one

On the eighth day of March 1862 the Will of William Garratt late of Hose in the County of Leicester Draper Tailor and Grazier was proved by the Oaths of Hannah Garratt Widow the Relict of the deceased William Glenn and Richard Goodson the Executors named in the Will they having been first sworn duly to administer

Sworn under £800 and that the Testator died on the 27th day of December 1861
