John Garratt of Hose 1729 Will and Inventory

In The Name of God Amen I John Garriott of Hose in the County of Leicester Being weak of Body tho of perfect Memory Blessed be God for the same do make and Constitute this my Last Will and Testament in form and manner following

Imprimis I Give to my Daughter Elizabeth Garriot the Sum of Ten Pounds to be paid to her Upon her Wedding Day

Item I Give to my Daughter Elinor Garriot the Sum of Ten pounds to be paid to her upon her Wedding Day

Item I Give to my Loveing Wife Elinor Garriott the Dwelling House wherein I now Dwell with the Shop Barn Stable Homestead and all the Appurtenances thereto belonging for the full Term of her Natuaral Life (provided that She Remain my Widdow (viz) unmarried to a Second Husband for the Term of her Life) and at the Decease of my Loveing Wife Elinor Garriott aforesaid I Give the said House Shop Barn Stable and Homestead to my Son Joseph Garriot and to his Heirs for Ever

But If it Shall so Happen that Happen that the said Elinor Garriot after my Decease Shall Marry another Husband and not Continue my Widdow I then Give the Said Dwelling House Shop Barn Stable Homestead and all the Appurtenances thereto belonging unto my Son Joseph Garriott to Enter Uppon at the said Marriage of my present wife Elinor Garriott aforesaid to a Second Husband and to Continue to his and his Heirs Use and Behoof for ever

And Lastly for the Rest of my Goods Cattle Chattel and personal Estate whatsoever I Give to be Equally divided betwixt my Loveing Wife Elinor Garriot and my son Joseph Garriot aforesaid, they paing Ten pounds to my Daughter Elizabeth Garriot on the day that She is Married and Ten pounds to my Daughter Elinor Upon the Day that She is married they paing allso my Debts and funeral Charges

I do make and Appoint them (viz) the Aforesaid Coequal and Joynt Executors of this my last Will and Testament makeing Null and void all other Wills by me heretofore made
