William Freeston of Grimston 1778 Will

In the Name of God Amen the 11th Day of May 1777 I William Freeston of Grimston in the County of Leicester Yeoman being Sick and weak in Body but of perfect mind and Memory do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in the manner following that is

Principally and first of all I Give and recomend my Soul into the Hands of God that gave it hoping through the Death and Passion of Jesus Christ my Saviour to receive free pardon of all my Sins and as for my Body to be Buried in a Decent manner at the Discretion of my Executor hereafter nominated

Imprimis I Give to my Son Joseph Freeston the Sum of one Shilling and the forty pound Bond that my Son William has in keeping to be Destroy’d at my Decease

Item I Give to my Son John Freeston the Sum of Twenty pounds

Item I Give to my Son Edward Freeston the Sum of Thirty eight pounds Ten Shillings

Item I Give to my Daughter Hannah Armstrong the Sum of Twenty pounds

Item I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth Freeston the Sum of Twenty pounds and all my Houshold Goods and Moveables

Item I Give and devise to my Son William Freeston my Two Closes known by the Name of Bellows Close and do make him my Sole Executor upon condition that he Shall pay all my Debts and Legacies and Burial Charges and my will is that my Burial charges is to be paid out of my quick Stock and if any thing be left to be Divided amongst all my Children

And I Do utterly disallow and revoke all other Wills and Testaments that has been by me made Confirming this to be my last Will and Testament
