In the Name of God amen I William Freckingham of Abb Kettle in the County of Leicester husbandman Do this five and twentieth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and thirty nine Make this my last Will and testament in Manner following that is to say

First of all I commend my Soul into the hands of almighty God who gave it me and my body I committ to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my executor herein after named

And as for such Temporal Estate which it hath pleased almighty God to bless me with I Dispose of the same as followeth to Witt

I give and bequeath Unto my daughter Susanna Skerritt twenty shillings and one Chest now in the Chamber over the house and also one Coverlid to be delivered to her within one Month after my death

Also I give and devise all that my little Close lying in Abb Kettleby aforesaid Comonly Called the Church Close Unto my Son Henry Freckingham and to his heirs forever

Also I give and devise all that My Messuage or Tenement with the house Edifices outbuildings with Crofts and other appurtenances thereunto belonging situate lying and being in Abb Kettleby aforesaid And also all those my Several pieces and parcels of Land arable Meadow pasture and Comon lying and being with the Several fields precincts and teritories of Abb Kettleby aforesaid Containing by Estimacon and Commonly reputed to be one Yard Land to the said Messuage or tenement belonging or going along therewith now in my own possession and also all other the Lands or Tenements and hereditaments whatsoever of me the said William Freckingham in Abb Kettleby aforesaid Unto my loving Wife Susanna Freckingham for and During the Term of her natural life and from and after her decease then I given and devise all my said Messuages Lands and hereditaments so given Unto my said Wife for her life as aforesaid Unto my Said Son Henry Freckingham and to his heires and assignes for ever

Also I give and bequeath all my household goods of what kind soever Unto my Said loving Wife Susanna for the Term of her natural life and afterwards to my Said Son Henry his executors and adms forever

Also all the rest of my Goods Cattle Chattels and personal Estate of what nature kind or quallity soever the Same is my Debts Legacies and funeral expences being first thereout paid and discharged I give and bequeath Unto my Said Son Henry Freckingham whom I hereby appoint full and Sole executor of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me made Declaring this to be my last Will and testament

In Witness whereof I the said William Freckingham have hereunto Set my hand and Seale the day and year first above written

Signed Sealed published and Declared by the Said William Freckingham the Testator for and as his last Will and testament in the presence of Us who have Subscribed our names as Witnesses in his presence and be it Remembred that the Raisure made in the fourth Line from the bottom were so made before the Signed hereof
