In the Name of Gd Amen I Matthew Francis of Scalford in the County of Leicester Shepherd being sick & weak but of sound mind & memory praised be God do make this my last Will & Testament in manner following
First I commit my soul into the hands of my mercyfull saviour & Redeemer hoping thro his alone merits & mediation to be partaker of eternal happiness & my body to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter mentiond
And as for my Goods & Temporal estate I dispose of as follows
Imprimis I give & devise to my son Jn & Daughter Sarah Wilford during the term of their natural lives that house I now live in & the House adjoyning to it & after their decease I give the house that I now live in to my grandson Matthew Wilford & the House adjoying to it lately possessed by Ralph Bruton I give to my Granddaughter Sarah Wilford & if either of them die the survivor to enjoy them both
Item I give to my niece Ellen Wormwell the sum of twenty shillings to be pay’d wn she is one & twenty years old
Item I give to my niece Elizabeth Wormwell the sum of twenty shillings to be paid at the same age
Item all my goods chattle cattel & personal estate I give to my son John Wilford my debts Legacies & Funeral expences being first discharg’d, whom I make Executor of this my last Will hereby revoking all former wills made
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this fifth day of September 1719
