Joseph Fox of Long Clawson 1721 Will and Inventory

In the Name of God Amen

I Joseph Fox of Clawson Longa in the County of Leicester Wheelwright being indisposed of body but of sound and perfect mind and memory thanks be therefore given to almighty God doe make and ordaine this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following (viz)

First and principally I commend my soule into the hands of Almighty God who gave it hopeing through the merritts death and passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to receive full and free pardon of all my sins and to inherit everlasting Life and my Body I commit to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named and for such worldly Goods both real and personal I doe Give and bequeath as followeth

First I will that all my debts and funerall charges be paid and discharged

Item I doe Give and bequeath to my Sonn Joshua Fox the sume of five shillings

Item I doe Give and bequeath to my Sonn Hugh Fox the sume of five shillings

Item I doe Give and bequeath to my Sonn and Daughter Thomas and Elizabeth Turner [?] the sume of five shillings

Item I doe Give and bequeath to my Sonn and Daughter William and Mary Heale the sume of ten pounds to be paid within the space of one yeare after my decease

And all the rest and residue of all my Lands Goods and Chattels I doe give and bequeath to my Loveing sonn Joseph Fox whom I doe make full and Sole Executor of this my Last will and Testament and making null and void all wills and Testaments heretofore by me made and only acknowledging this my Last will and Testament unto which I have hereunto put my hand and Seale this Eight day of October in the yeare of our Lord 1721
