John Flewitt of Ab Kettleby 1819 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me John Flewitt of Abb Kettleby in the county of Leicester Farmer as follows

I direct my just debts funeral and Testamentary expences to be first paid

I Give and bequeath All my Personal Estate and Effects of whatsoever nature or kind the same may be (and of which I direct an Inventory and Valuation to be taken immediately after my death) unto my two friends John Cooke of Long Clawson in the county of Leicester Grazier and Samuel Flewitt of Normanton on the Woulds in the county of Nottingham Butcher their executors and Administrators upon Trust nevertheless that they and the Survivor of them his Executors and Administrators shall stand possessed of all my said Personal Estate and Effects for my dear Mary Flewitt and permit her to have the enjoyment benefit and advantage thereof for and during the term of her natural life and from and immediately after her decease then I Give and bequeath the sum of Twenty pounds part of my said Personal Estate and Effects unto my daughter Elizabeth Morley her Executors and Administrators

And as to the residue of my said Personal Estate and Effects after payment of the said sum of Twenty pounds to Elizabeth Morley I Give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my four children Samuel Flewitt, Ann Flewitt, Mary Flewitt and Sarah Flewitt to be equally divided amongst them share and share alike

And I do hereby appoint my said Two friends John Cooke and Samuel Flewitt joint Executors in Trust of his my last Will and Testament hereby Revoking all former Wills by me made

In Witness whereof I the said John Flewitt the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this Nineteenth day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fourteen

Signed sealed published and declared by the said John Flewitt the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have at his Request in his presence and in the presence of each other set our hands as witnesses to the due Execution thereof the word “fourteen” being first written on erasure

Let a probat be granted to John Cooke of Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Grazier & Samuel Flewitt of Normanton on the Woulds in the County of Nottingham Butcher joint Executors named in the will of John Flewitt who died at Abb Kettleby on the 24th Septr 1818

They the said John Cooke & Samuel Flewitt being duly sworn as well to the faithful Execution of the Will as that the Testators Goods, Chattels & Credits as they were at his death without deducting any Debts owing by him therefrom did not amount in value to the sum of Three hundred pounds
