John Faulks of Hickling 1810 Will

In the Name of God Amen This is the last Will and Testament of John Faulks of Hickling in the County of Nottingham Joiner

First I give and devise all my Messuage Cottage or Tenement Closes Lands and Hereditaments and Estate situate and being in the Parish of Hickling aforesaid unto my Son John Faulks and his Heirs and Assigns forever

Also I give and bequeath unto my said son John Faulks my Bed and the Blankets and all the Bed furniture belonging to it to be delivered to him immediately after my decease

Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Hannah Jeram the Sum of twenty pounds

Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Mann the sum of thirty pounds

Also I give and bequeath to my Grandsons John Faulks and George Faulks the sum of twenty pounds apiece

Also I give and bequeath to my Great Grandsons William Palmer and John Palmer the sum of five pounds apiece

And I will that my Executrix hereinafter named shall pay the said Legacies by me given to my Great Grandsons into the hands of my said son John Faulks within twelve calendar Months next after my decease In Trust to be by him placed out at interest till they shall attain the respective ages of twenty one Years and if either of them die under that age without Issue then I give his Legacy with all the interest which shall arise from it to the Survivor But if both die under that age without Issue then I give the whole money by me given to them to my said son John Faulks for his own use

Also I give and bequeath to my said Grandson John Faulks all my Working Tools and store of Wood, Planks Boards and implements belonging to my Trade to be delivered to him immediately after my decease 

Lastly all the Residue and Remainder o my Goods Chattels Cattle ready Money Securities for Money and personal Estate whatsoever I give and bequeath to my Daughter Ann Faulks Subject nevertheless to the true payment of all my just Debts my Funeral and Testamentary expenses

And I do hereby make and ordain my said Daughter Ann Faulks whole and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I the said John Faulks the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and Seal this twenty fifth day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and nine

Signed sealed published and declared by the said John Faulks the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our Names as Witnesses to the due Execution thereof

I do hereby certify that on the 5th day of May in the year of our Lord 1810 Ann Faulks of Hickling in the County of Nottingham, Spinster, the Daughter and Sole Executrix named in this the last Will and Testament of John Faulks late of Hickling aforesaid Joiner deceased was Sworn well and truly to execute and perform the same And that the whole of the Goods chattles and credits of the said deceased in the Diocese of York did not amount in value to the Sum of Three Hundred Pounds
