This is the Last Will of me David Elliott of Harby near Melton Mowbray in the County of Leicester Labourer

I hereby revoke all former Wills made by me

I Appoint John James Watchorn of 7 Hardwick Grove West Bridgford in the County of Nottingham Warehouseman thereinafter call “my Trustees” [sic] to be the Executor and Trustee of this my Will

I Devise unto my Trustee my freehold messuage and premises at Harby aforesaid now in my own occupation Upon Trust during the life of my Wife Caroline to permit her to occupy the same free of rent she paying all rates and taxes in respect thereof and keeping the same in repair or to pay to my said Wife the net rents and profits thereof And I Give to my Trustee all my household furniture and household effects Upon Trust to permit my said Wife to use and enjoy the same during her life And I Declare that my Trustee shall not be bound to see to the preservation of the said furniture and effects or as to their insurance nor be answerable for any loss or injury which may happen thereto during the life of my said Wife

And after the death of my said Wife I Direct that the said messuage and premises and the said household furniture and effects shall be sold by my Trustee and he shall stand possessed of the net proceeds of sale thereof Upon Trust for all my children in equal shares (except that the share of my youngest child Lilian shall be Ten pounds more than the share of any other child) Provided Always that if any child of mine shall die in my lifetime leaving a child or children living at my death who shall attain the age of twenty one years such last mentioned child or children shall take (and if more than one equally between them) the share which his her or their parent would have taken under this my Will if he or she had survived me

I Devise and Bequeath all the residue of my estate both real and personal unto my Trustee Upon Trust after payment thereout of my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts for my said Wife absolutely

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand the 16th day of Sept One thousand nine hundred and nineteen.
