James Eite of Hickling 1751 Will, Inventory and Bond

In the Name of God Amen

I James Eite of Hickling in the County of Nottingham Being sick and weak in body but of Perfect Mind and memory Blessed be god for itt and being Mindfull of my Mortallity do Make and ordain this My Last will and testament in Manner and form following

Imprimis: I Give and bequeth my Soul into the hands of allmighty god hoping through the mercies of Jesus Christ my Redeemer to be saved and my body to be decently Buried in Hickling Church yard at the charge of my Executor hear after Mentiond: and as for the worldly goods that almighty God hath been pleased to bestow upon me I give and bequeth in this Manner following and form

Itm I Give to my son William Morley one shilling

Item I give to My grandson William Morley one shilling

Item I give to my grandaughter Margrett Morley one shilling

Item I give to my grandaughter Mary Morley one shilling

Item I give to my son John Wainman one shilling

Item I give to my daughter Sarah Wainman one shillling

Item I give to my grandaughter Ann Wainman one shilling

Item I give to my grandaughter Sarah Wainman one shilling

Item I give to my grandaughter Mary Wainman one shilling

Item It give to my son Stephen Daft one shilling

Item I give to my daughter Ann Daft one shilling

Item I give to my grandson Stephen Daft one shilling

Item I give to my son John Knap one shilling

Item I give to my Daughter Margrett Knap one shilling

Item I give to my grandaughter Ann Knap one shilling

Item I give to my son Thomas Stringer one shilling

Item I give to my son James Eite one shilling

Item I give to my daughter Elisabeth Eite one shilling

Item I give to my grandaughter Elisabeth Eite one shilling

Item I give to my grandaughter Ann Eite one shilling

Item I give to my grandaughter Mary Eite one shilling

Item I give to my grandson John Eite one shilling

Now itt is my will that all these Legesies shall be pade within twelve months after my decease

Item I give to my dear and Loving wife all my goods cattle and chattel during her naturall Life and itt is my will that what money goods and chattel is left att the death of my wife that they shall be equally divided amongst my son James Eite four children Elisabeth Ann Mary and John

My Leagiseis being paid and My funeral charges being paid and discharged then I do make my Loving son James Eite sole Executor of this my Last will and testament Revoking all other wills and testaments heretofore made by me confirming this and no other to be my Last will and testament

In wittness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal this present twenty eight day of Aprill in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fourty and Eight
