In the Name of God Amen I Francis Dixon of Eastwell in the County of Leicester, Farmer, being of Sound & perfect Mind & Understanding Do this sixth Day of June in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred & Eighty make & ordain this my last Will & Testament, in manner following, (that is to say)

First, I give & bequeath unto my Son William the Sum of ten Shillings of good &l awful Money of great Britain

I also give & bequeath Unto my Son John the Sum of Ten Shillings of good & lawful Money of great Britain

I also give & bequeath unto my Son Charles the Sum of Ten Shillings of good & lawful Money of great Britain

I also give unto my Son James the Sum of Ten Shillings of good & lawful Money of great Britain

I also give unto my Son Francis the Sum of ten Shillings of good & lawful Money of great Britain

I also give Unto my Son Thomas the Sum of ten Shillings of good & lawful Money of great Britain

I also give unto my Daughter Mary Foyster Widow of Solomon Foyster the Sum of ten Shillings of good & lawful Money of great Britain

I also give unto my Daughter Ann Revil Wife of Charles Revil the Sum of ten Shillings of good & lawful Money of great Britain

I also give unto Martha Musson Wife of William Musson the Sum of ten Shillings of good & lawful Money of great Britain

My further Will is that the above sum of ten Shillings be paid to each & every one of my Children or their Heirs one Year after my Decease By my Executor hereafter named

All my remaining Money & Goods of What Nature & kind soever (after my Legacies, Debts & funeral expences are paid & discharged) I give & bequeath Unto my Wife Elizabeth Dixon, whom I make my sole Executor of this my last Will & Testament to be enjoyed, used & Employed, in what manner she shall think proper, for her support & Maintenance during her natural life, & whatever shall remain (after maintaining & supporting her during her natural Life) at her decease I will that (after her Debts & funeral Expences are defray’d) the same be equally divided Amongst my Children or their Heirs, excepting my Son Charles who has already received an Equivalent, I will that the share falling to him or his Heirs be equally divided amongst my other Children or their Heirs

In Witness whereof I the said Francis Dixon the Testator have set my Hand & Seal the Day & Year above Written

Signed, sealed, published & declared, by the said Francis Dixon, the Testator for and as his last Will & Testament, in the presence of us, who have subscribed our names as Witnesses In his presence

On the Twelfth Day of October 1780 Elizabeth Dixon the sole Executrix named in the within written Will was sworn to the due execution thereof, and at the same time made oath, that all the Testators personal Estate at the time of her death was not worth One Hundred Pound
