William Darby of Eaton 1762 Will

In the name of god Amen I William Darby of Eaton in the County of Leicester farmer being weak in body but of sound and perfect memory Blessed be god for it doe make this my last will and Testament this twenty fifth day of April in the year of our Lord 1761

First I Recomend my Sole into the Hand of Almighty god

Secondly I Recomend my Body to the Earth to be decently buried at the Discretion of my Executrix hereafter Named

And When all my Debts and funeral Expences are All paid and Discharged I give the Resedue of my Worly goods and Chattles which it hath pleased Almighty god to posess me with in the Manner and form following

Inprimus I give and bequeath to my brother Thomas Darby of Scalford the Sum of ten pound ten shilling of Lawfull mony of England to be paid at or before Six Months after my Deceas by my Executrix

Item I give and bequeath to Thomas Darby of Eaton the Sum of two pound two shillings to be paid at or before Six Month after my Deceass by my Executrix

Item I give William Darby of Eaton two pound two shillings to be paid at or before Six Months After my deceass

Item I give and bequeath to Alce Brown of Abkettleby one pound one shilling to be paid at or before six months after my Decease by my Executrix

Item I give to Elizabeth Dallewater one Ewe and Lamb of the pasture kind and one pound one shilling at or before Six month After my Decease

Item I give and bequeath to three Children of John Willson of Eaton five Shillings Each

Item I give and bequeath to four Children of Thomas Darby of Eaton five Shilling Each

Item I give to Elizabeth Darby of Scalford one pound one Shilling to be paid at or before Six Month after my decease by my Executrix

Item I give to two Children of Alce Brown of Ab Kettleby five Shillings Each

Item I give to William Darby before Named of Eaton My Oak Chest that stands in my parler when empty and the half part of my wheareing Appariel to be Equealy devided be twext Thomas Darby of Eaton before Named and William Darby

Item All the Rest and Residue of my good and Chattles and personal Estate what so Ever I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved Wife Mary Darby and doth Make and ordain her my Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament All and Singular Messuages and tenements by her freely to be possed and Enjoyed and I doe hereby utterly disallow Revoak and Disannul All and Every former Testament wills and Legacies bequests Executors by mee in Any Ways befor Named Willed and bequeathed Ratefieing and Confirming this and no Oather to be My Last will and Testament

In Witness where of I have hereunto Set my hand & Seal the year and date writen above
