In the name of god Amen I William Dafte of Scalforde in the Countie of Leceister Sheeparde beinge in perfect memorye & in good helth of bodye, doe Constitute & make this my last will and Testament in manner as followeth
First I commende my soule to almightie god, & my body to bee buried in the churchyarde of Scalforde aforesd
Also I give & beequeave to the poore of Scalford five poundes
Also I give to Richard Welforde fyve poundes And to William, Joane & Marye Welforde xls a peece
Also I forgive John Welforde xl which he oweth to mee
Also I give to Robt Dafte my brother x l
Also I give to my brother Thomas Daft xx l
Also I give to Margarett Dafte the daughter of Thomas Dafte xx l
Also I give to my brother John Dafte xx l
Also I give to my brother Thomas Dafte halfe my sheepe and all my haye
Also I give to every one to whom I am godfather xiid
Also I give to Robt Dafte my nephewe xxl
All they rest of my goods & Chattells moveable and unmoveable (my debtes payed, & my funerall discharged) I give & bequeave to Willm Foxe of Longe Clawson in the Countie of Leceister husbandman whome I make & ordayne full & sole executor of this my last will & testament made & written the daye & yeare first above written & signed with my hande marke in presence of
