This is the Last Will and Testament of me Robert Daft of Hickling in the County of Leicester Grazier

First I desire to be buried in a decent manner at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named and as for my Worldly Estate which pleased God to bless me with I Give and dispose thereof as follows

In the first place I Give and devise all my two Closes of pasture or Ground Inclosed with the Appurtenances situate lying and being in Hickling aforesaid and now in my own possession unto my dear and loving wife Sarah Daft for and during the term of her natural Life and from and immediately after her decease then I give and devise the said two Closes of Pasture or Ground Inclosed with the Appurtenances unto my son George Parr Daft his heirs and Assigns for ever

Also I Give and devise all that my Messuage Cottage or tenement with the Yard Garden Orchard and other the Appurtenances thereunto adjoining and belonging and in which I now Inhabit and dwell unto my Daughter Elizabeth the Wife of John Corner her heirs and Assigns for ever but my mind and Will is that my said Wife Sarah Daft shall have the use and priviledge of the far Parlour and the Chamber near it and a place to serve for the purpose of a Coalhouse during the term of her natural Life together with the yearly Fruit of two Apple Trees in my Orchard

Also I Give and bequeath unto my Daughter Ann Daft the sum of sixty pounds to be paid her immediately after the decease of my said Wife Sarah Daft and I do hereby subject and Charge my said Closes hereinbefore given by me to my said Son George Parr Daft with the true payment thereof

Also I Give and bequeath unto my said son George Parr Daft my two Ear’d Silver Cup to be delivered to him immediately after my decease by my said Executrix

Also I Give and bequeath unto my said Wife Sarah Daft All my Household Goods Linen and Furniture whatsoever situate in my said Dwelling House to be freely disposed of by her as she shall think proper

Also all the rest residue and remainder of my other Goods Stock Cattle Chattels and personal Estate not hereinbefore by me specifically given and bequeathed my Debts Legacies and Funeral Charges being first paid I Give and bequeath the same unto my said Son George Parr Daft

And Lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my said Wife Sarah Daft full and Sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all other Wills by me at any time heretofore made

In Witness whereof I the said Robert Daft the Testator have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Thirtieth day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Eighty three

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Robert Daft the Testator as and for his Last Will and Testament In the presence of us the Witnesses under written who have at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other set our hands as Witnesses to the due Execution hereof And the several Erasures were made before the Publication
